Locksmiths Fall to Rocking Horses, 7-4
Led by Édgar Oquendo, the Winchendon Rocking Horses defeated the Stamford Locksmiths, 7-4. Oquendo went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Rocking Horses. Dagoberto Arredondo got the win, improving to 11-10. He worked 9 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. The second-place Rocking Horses go to 59-57.

The Locksmiths had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Rocking Horses going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Luis Reyes came to the plate. Reyes hit a 3-run home run on a full count cutter from Stamford hurler Esteban Genao. It was Reyes's 6th home run of the year.

"They had a good approach," Stamford skipper Matías Ortega said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
