Win Lifts Red Onions to 63-54
|
Templeton picked up a win at The House of Sorrow, bumping off the Cranston Madonnas, 3-2. Pitcher Augurio Marín was a major reason the Red Onions emerged victorious. The Red Onions saw their win-loss record go to 63-54. At the same time, the Madonnas fell to 60-57.
A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Red Onions third baseman Julián Flores hit a changeup from Álvaro López for a run-scoring single, putting Templeton up, 3-1.
"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Red Onions manager Adelino García.
