Ingenieros Escape Quesiteros in 10, Now Lead Series 2-1
The Rincon Ingenieros moved to within one game of the Serie Interdivisional, downing the Isabela Quesiteros, 3-2, in a tense, extra-inning affair at Coliseo Hermógenes Cárdenas. Leading the way for the Ingenieros was left-hander Anaxímenes Rodríguez. He threw 10.0 innings of 8-hit ball. The win gives the Ingenieros a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Serie Eliminatoria.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Rincon catcher Sócrates Guel, facing Quilvio Argueta, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Ingenieros the 3-2 win.

Guel said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Coliseo Hermógenes Cárdenas in Rincón.
