Ruiz Hits 3 Bombs in 9-7 Win
The Winchendon Rocking Horses powered past the Templeton Red Onions, 9-7, at The House of Sorrow. Francisco Ruiz hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times, to lead the charge. Calvino Mejía, the winning pitcher, is now 17-12. He went 8.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 6. The win gives Winchendon a season record of 57-56.

Winchendon used a well-timed hit by Jorge Casio to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Rocking Horses ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
