Palomas Even With Cotorras After Walk-Off Win
The Cidra Palomas got a strong game from starter Carlos Rubio, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Palomas took the 3-2 win over the Rio Grande Cotorras in Game 2 of the Serie Eliminatoria in a 9th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Rubio. Rubio threw 9.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, which brought the Palomas into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Cidra got a knockout punch from Ruy Barrera. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Barrera.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, November 9th , 1903 at Recinto Atlético del Noreste in Río Grande.
