Woonsocket and Templeton duked it out and the Foxes came out victorious.

The Woonsocket Foxes topped the Templeton Red Onions, 6-4, in Southern New England Association action at The House of Sorrow. The game was highlighted by the performance of Woonsocket pitcher Homero Iglesias. Iglesias yielded 4 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 15 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 11-10.

Woonsocket designated hitter Ernesto Caballero contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the Foxes ahead, 2-0.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Caballero told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."

At 53-43, the Foxes are currently second in the Southern New England Association Rhode Island Circuit.
