Red Onions Handle Drawbridges, Nab 3-2 Win

Wet weather did not postpone the Templeton-Mystic ballgame.
The Templeton Red Onions picked up a win at Ballpark By The Water, dropping the Mystic Drawbridges, 3-2. Ramiro López was the difference-maker. López picked up the win for Templeton, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 9-9. Kid Carter was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 4 save opportunities.
Oscar Francisco's at-bat in the top of the fourth inning was a big one for Templeton. Coming to bat with one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Templeton trailing 1-0, the third baseman hit a run-scoring single.
"The fact of the matter is that we had a shot to win," said losing manager Víctor de Luna.
By defeating Mystic, the first-place Red Onions improved to 40-42.
