The rain came, as predicted, but the Templeton Red Onions and Winchendon Rocking Horses were able to complete their ballgame.

The Templeton Red Onions topped the Winchendon Rocking Horses, 13-7, at The House of Sorrow. Templeton second baseman Carlomagno Martorell was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4-6 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Silvio Torres went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the SNEA in complete games with 17, struck out 1 and walked 1. With the win, he's now 11-9 this season. Cal Vasbinder got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.

The Red Onions benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the second. With Jeremías de la Torre at bat and Templeton leading 3-0, the Winchendon miscue allowed Templeton to plate 2 and take the lead, 5-0.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Winchendon manager Roberto Ortiz.

The Red Onions now have a mark of 39-42.
