The Templeton Red Onions beat the Cranston Madonnas, 7-5, at The House of Sorrow. Laertes Gallardo, who is tied for 8th in the SNEA in home runs with 5, starred for Templeton. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Templeton, now 32-31, holds down first place in the Southern New England Association Massachusetts Circuit.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Gallardo hit a cutter from Turner Neily for a 2-run home run. The Red Onions, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
