García Guns Down Locksmiths
|
Fans at The Foxhole witnessed the Woonsocket Foxes blank the Stamford Locksmiths, 6-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Constancio García. The Woonsocket right-hander allowed 9 hits in recording the shutout.
"Constancio was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Woonsocket manager Miguel Ángel Quintanilla said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
To date this season, García is 2-0 with 1 starts and an ERA of 0.86 with 14 strikeouts in 21 innings.
