Red Onions Win Thriller, 2-1

The House of Sorrow played host to some real drama.
The Templeton Red Onions clipped the Stamford Locksmiths, 2-1, in 10 innings at The House of Sorrow. The standout performance belonged to Templeton pitcher and Arecibo, Puerto Rico, native Silvio Torres. The Red Onions saw their record improve to 20-11.
Templeton got a clutch hit from René Vargas. The pinch hitter jolted a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"I was the aggressor," said Torres. "No doubt about it."
