A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Winchendon Rocking Horses and Cranston Madonnas.

The Winchendon Rocking Horses beat the Cranston Madonnas, 8-6, at The Toy Store. Winchendon right fielder Pablo Brizuela had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Rogelio Valdés earned the win for Winchendon. He lasted 8.1 innings, allowing 6 runs on 13 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0.

Winchendon grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Brizuela hit a bases-clearing double off Emérico Trejo. His 1st double of the season put the Rocking Horses out in front, 4-1.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Winchendon skipper Roberto Ortiz.

Winchendon goes to 1-2.
