Rosado Lifts Headstones to Win
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Barre fans at The Graveyard.
The Barre Headstones beat the Bennington Melodeons, 5-1. Barre pitcher and Pinar del Rio, Cuba, native Salvador Rosado led the way. The win makes Barre 72-55.
Rosado kept the Melodeons under his thumb. He scattered 7 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 8. The right-hander upped his season record to 2-2.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Barre manager Édgar Huerta.
