The Lewiston Quebeckers and Waterville Elms obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

Lewiston beat Waterville at Stade de Lewiston, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Cresencio López. He went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Lewiston pitcher Dad Clarke earned the win, hiking his record to 8-11. Álvaro Piña suffered the loss.

Early in the game, left fielder Artemisio Roque had a bases-clearing double for Lewiston. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Quebeckers on top, 6-3.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Roque, "but we really needed that win."

The last-place Quebeckers are now 60-67, the Elms 83-44.
