The game between Derry and Nashua is in the books, despite a little rain.

The Derry Spuds pinned a convincing loss on the Nashua Gatekeepers, 9-3, at The Patch. Alfredo Baró was a main factor in the win. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Derry. Derry pitcher Roodan Wilson got the win, upping his record to 19-12. Emilio Palomino got the loss.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Baró hit a 2-run home run off Emilio Palomino. It propelled the Spuds into the lead, 4-2.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Baró told the Derry Gazette. "It's as simple as that."

Their 56-70 record puts the Spuds second in the Northern New England Association New Hampshire Circuit.
