García Electric in Bennington Win
|
Bennington got a first-rate effort from pitcher Gabriel García, who frustrated Lewiston hitters en route to a 2-1 Melodeons triumph at Melodeon Grounds. The triumph puts Bennington at 63-62 for the season.
García pitched a complete game for Bennington. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 4 hits. He struck out 12 during his 155-pitch performance.
"I liked his command," said Bennington manager Alcides González. "Gabriel was throwing strikes."
