Quarrymen Win in Glorious Fashion, 2-1
The Rutland Quarrymen in 10 innings beat the Auburn Cordwainers, 2-1, at The Pit. Starting pitcher Ernesto Jiménez was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. The win went to Félix Guardado in relief, making him now 3-1. Bonifacio Coronado took the loss for Auburn. The Cordwainers, now 47-77, have lost 4 in a row.

Rutland got a knockout punch from Guillermo Antigua. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Exciting game to play in," said Antigua. "Getting the win makes it even better."
