Muñoz Leads Cordwainers to 4-1 Win over Stagecoaches
|
Despite the rain, the fans at Cordwainers Stadium enjoyed a good ballgame.
José Muñoz never let Concord get something going. The Auburn right-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Cordwainers to a 4-1 win. The Cordwainers move to 57-58 with the win, while the Stagecoaches drop to 56-59.
Muñoz was effective for Auburn, seldom allowing the Stagecoaches to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 76 pitches over 9 innings. He limited Concord to just 1 run on 5 hits.
"José gave us a really big performance," said Auburn manager Plutarco Silva.
