Red-Hot Elms Win Again
|
The Waterville Elms just keep winning.
In a low-scoring contest, Waterville pitcher José Ocampo was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Horace Helmbold was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
In the bottom of the second, with Waterville leading 1-0, Mateo Díaz hit a fastball from Serafín García for a 2-run single, giving the Elms the lead, 3-0.
"The vibe's good," said Waterville manager Esteban Bruno. "We've got to keep it going."
Waterville, now 55-62, has won 11 straight games.
