Palomino Tosses 1-0 Shutout for Nashua
|
In an excellent mound performance, Emilio Palomino of the Nashua Gatekeepers blanked the Concord Stagecoaches, 1-0, on a 3-hitter.
"I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game.
In all, the Nashua hurler rang up 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win.
"We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Stagecoaches manager Induciomaro Castillo. "Palomino did a good job keeping us guessing."
Palomino has gone 10-15 this season with an ERA of 3.02 and 162 strikeouts in 223.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .222 against him.
