Rivera Hurls Lightermen to Shutout Victory
|
Justino Rivera was dynamite at Lightermen Park, blowing away the Bangor River Hogs in a shutout victory. The Burlington Lightermen starter had everything working as he held the River Hogs to 7 hits in the 3-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Bangor skipper Néstor Martínez. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Rivera finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks.
For the season, Rivera has logged 8 wins and 6 losses and struck out 35 batters in 123 innings while compiling a 4.32 ERA.
