The Bennington Melodeons got a good effort from starter Gabriel García in defeating the Auburn Cordwainers at Cordwainers Stadium. The final score was 6-1. Bennington goes to 21-17, Auburn to 16-22.

Gabriel García was masterful. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 9 innings.
