Spuds Sneak Past Gatekeepers, 4-3

Derry and Nashua took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Derry Spuds starter Roodan Wilson pitched a strong game against the Nashua Gatekeepers at The Gatehouse, leading the Spuds to victory, 4-3. Sílvano Salguero closed the game out for Derry, earning his 1st save.
Derry used the timely hitting of Miguel Delgadillo to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Spuds on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Derry manager Roberto Villanueva.
Nashua drops to 14-12.
