Nacogdoches Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in IDS
The Nacogdoches Roaches got an exceptional performance from starter Joaquín Espinosa, who silenced the Luling offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 3 of the Interdivisional Series. The Lavender Stockings could never get a bead on the right-handed Espinosa, who threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. The Roaches now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 series.

Espinosa gave Nacogdoches a blue-ribbon performance. The 1.81 m right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 9 innings of work.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Espinosa said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Roaches Park in Nacogdoches.
