The Manchester Gamblers earned a close win over the Waterville Elms, thanks in part to Danny McClellan. The Manchester left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the NNEA in complete games with 4, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. With the win, Manchester climbs to 5-9.

Manchester used a clutch at-bat from Miguel Pereida to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Gamblers ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Manchester manager Juan Carlos Benítez.
