The Derry Spuds took down the Burlington Lightermen by the score of 3-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Division Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Derry starter Almandeto Castro, who threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball.

Luis Becerra helped the cause in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. His at-bat contributed to the Derry win.

"As soon as the season ends, I'm walking out of the clubhouse and leaving on vacation," Castro said. "Can't wait."

The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 28th , 1906 at The Patch in Derry.
