Rivera Spins Gem for Burlington
|
In a well-pitched game between the Burlington Lightermen and the Bangor River Hogs, pitcher Justino Rivera was fantastic. The Burlington right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Bangor, with the loss, is 4-2.
Rivera earned the win to move to 2-0. In his 9-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 8 and walking 4. The right-hander allowed the River Hogs few scoring opportunities.
"Justino just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Burlington manager Daniel Garza.
