Derry Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R1
The Derry Spuds got an exceptional performance from starter Roodan Wilson, who silenced the Waterville offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 3 of the Round 1. The Elms could never get a bead on the left-handed Wilson, who threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. The Spuds now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Wilson allowed no runs on 2 hits over 9 innings for the Spuds. He walked 1 and struck out 2.

"There was a kid in the stands with a sign that said 'Derry Spuds (probably) 1903 Round 3 Champions'," Wilson told reporters after the game. "I told him, 'Premature, but I like the confidence.'"

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Spuds Park in Derry.
