Regulars Suffer 3-2 Road Loss
|
The Oshawa Engines and London Regulars played an entertaining game for Slammers Park patrons.
Starting pitcher Jim Lent gave the Oshawa Engines a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the London Regulars, 3-2, at Slammers Park. The Engines, at 30-34, inhabit 4th place in the Eastern Great Lakes Association Canadian Independent Baseball.
Lent contributed in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Oshawa get the win.
After the game, Oshawa manager Federico Gabaldón applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
