Old Growth Forest hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

The Alpena Partridges earned a close win over the Saginaw Joes, thanks in part to Ben Lowe. The Alpena left-hander, who is tied for 6th in the WGLA in wins with 10, played a key role in the 12-inning, 2-1 victory. The second-place Partridges have won 4 straight games.

Lowe was effective for Alpena, seldom allowing the Joes to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 143 pitches over 12 innings. He limited Saginaw to just 1 run on 5 hits.

In postgame remarks, Lowe applauded his team's "resolve."
