Wade Batters Irondequoit Big Time
|
Utica Half Moons center fielder Jon Wade really lit up the Irondequoit Peach Kings with a 5-hit barrage at Cookie Cutter Park -- a performance that sparked the Half Moons to a 5-0 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
Jon Wade singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far in 1905 Wade is batting .242 with no home runs, 14 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 53 hits in 219 at-bats and a .304 OBP.
