Raucous National League Park 1895-1909 Crowd Propels Phillies to 7-4 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Philadelphia Phillies and the Baltimore Orioles will take the Inter-League Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Phillies beat the Orioles, 7-4, at National League Park 1895-1909 to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Philadelphia pitcher Jesse Burkett threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball.

In the bottom of the third, Philadelphia catcher Mike Grady had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Grady stroked a bases-clearing triple to center. It made the score 6-2, Philadelphia. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a triple, while adding 4 RBI.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Burkett said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at National League Park 1895-1909 in Philadelphia.
