Telegrafistas Get One-Run Win at Maunabo
The Arroyo Telegrafistas downed the Maunabo Artilleros, 2-1, at Recinto Atlético del Sureste. Stellar pitching by Cosme Méndez had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is rated as the 61st best prospect by BNN, handcuffed his opponent all game. Méndez, now 1-5, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The second-place Artilleros dropped to 21-18.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Epifanio Rodríguez? The Arroyo left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Telegrafistas on top, 2-1. For the game, Rodríguez had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
