Tucker Magnificent in 1-0 Oshawa Triumph
|
Rich Tucker of the Oshawa Engines overwhelmed the Sarnia Roughnecks and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them, 1-0, on 7 hits with a total of 2 strikeouts and no walks.
"Rich was on quite a roll," Oshawa manager Federico Gabaldón said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
To date, Tucker has a 4-1 mark in 7 starts with a 0.53 ERA. He has given up 58 hits in 68.1 innings, struck out 10 and issued 12 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .231 batting average against him.
