Hydropathists Claw Out 1-0 Win

The Oswego Hydropathists got a stellar effort from pitcher Gavin Pease, helping Oswego score a win over the visiting Irondequoit Peach Kings, 1-0. Oswego reliever Gavin Pease picked up the win. Mike Clark, who is tied for 10th in the EGLA in innings pitched with 55.2, took the loss for Irondequoit. The Peach Kings, 11-14, continue their poor start to the 1906 campaign.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Hydropathists had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when center fielder Ben Walcott hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Mike Clark and made the score 1-0, Hydropathists. Walcott was 1 for 4.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Gregorio Sanabria. "That was the problem."
