The New York Giants defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 10-4. Doing his part was right fielder Bug Holliday, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Orioles, now 3-10, continue their inauspicious start.

Harry Bemis had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the third for New York. With the bases loaded and the Giants leading 3-2, he hit a sacrifice fly.
