The rain came, as predicted, but the New Braunfels Yodelers and Marfa Ghost Lights were able to complete their ballgame.

The New Braunfels Yodelers defeated the Marfa Ghost Lights, 8-2, in Eastern Association action at Ghost Lights Park. New Braunfels pitcher Ciriaco González had a standout performance. González got the win, improving to 18-8. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Gabriel Calderón? The New Braunfels left fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yodelers on top, 4-0. For the game, Calderón had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

González attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

The Yodelers improved their record to 57-57 with the win over Marfa.
