Wichita Falls Coasts to 11-1 Win

The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Yardmen Park.
Wichita Falls starter Íñigo León throttled the Abilene offense, as the Yardmen won in a rout, 11-1. In 9 innings, León surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run.
Saúl Gabriel had a big 2-run double for the Yardmen in the bottom of the first inning. With Wichita Falls leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a slider from Oliver Minasian, who is tied for 3rd in the FBL-WA with a 2.55 ERA, and swatted a double to left. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yardmen ahead, 3-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Abilene manager Fernando Nieves.
Wichita Falls has won 3 straight, while Abilene has lost 7 in a row.
