The Amarillo Horizons picked up a win at Abilene Grounds, courtesy of Jesús Escobales. The right-hander helped his team stop the Abilene Preachers, 3-2. Escobales yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 2. His record improves to 18-12. The 'W' lifts Amarillo's record to 65-64.

Amarillo used a well-timed hit by Mateo Torres to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Horizons ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

After the game, Amarillo manager Fred Corey applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
