Win Goes to Cowhands in Tight Contest
1906 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the El Paso Finos.

The Odessa Cowhands defeated the El Paso Finos, 6-2, in Eastern Association action at Finos Park. Odessa pitcher Patricio Rodríguez had a standout performance. The second-place Cowhands are 69-59.

Odessa took advantage of an error in the top of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Hipólito Flores hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Cowhands in front, 4-2.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Rodríguez said after the game.
