Oscar Carreno shut out the Marfa Ghost Lights, 2-0, on a 4-hit masterpiece for the El Paso Finos at Ghost Lights Park.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," El Paso skipper Maurice Barnes said afterward.

Carreno registered 2 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in pitching a gem.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Marfa manager Eugenio Barrera after the defeat.

To date this year, in 31 starts, Carreno has crafted a 6-19 mark with a 3.54 ERA.
