Werewolves Drop Another One, 5-3
The Santa Fe Hollyhocks picked up a win at Werewolves Park, taking down the Los Lunas Werewolves, 5-3. Starting pitcher Rufo Porrata was a big reason why. Porrata got the win, improving to 11-8. He gave up 9 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The Hollyhocks, at 68-58, sit in second place in the Western Association Santa Fe Circuit.

Santa Fe used a well-timed hit by Plutarco Flores to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hollyhocks ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I thought we competed really well," said Hollyhocks manager Manuel Solano. "I thought the energy was really good."
