Wichita Falls Edges Lubbock in Extra Innings
Íñigo León, who is tied for 6th in the FBL-WA in saves with 5, played a key role in a gritty 2-1 Wichita Falls Yardmen win in 16 innings against the Lubbock Layabouts. The winner in relief was Hestio Ponce. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.1 innings. He now owns a record of 6-6. Wichita Falls is now 60-65, Lubbock 79-46.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the 16th, Miguel Ángel Hernández had a chance to end it. Lubbock pitcher Ignacio Prado had other ideas. But with one out, Hernández hit a run-scoring single. The Yardmen had the win.

"When you think about it," Hernández said, "there's often a fine line between triumph and tragedy. One pitch, one swing of the bat can make all the difference."
