In a low-scoring contest between the Tyler Pecan Kings and the Galveston Gulls, Salvino Velázquez was the X factor. The Tyler right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Velázquez got the win, improving to 18-13. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Tyler currently is in second place in the Eastern Association Galveston Circuit at 66-56.
