Despite the exploits of catcher Manuel Gutiérrez, the New Braunfels Yodelers were beaten by the Waco Mammoths, 5-4, in 14 innings. Gutiérrez was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Waco reliever Uranio Reynoso, who is tied for 4th in the FBL-EA in saves with 8, was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-8. Britomaro Díaz took the loss for New Braunfels. The last-place Mammoths now have a record of 39-82.

The Mammoths got a clutch hit from second baseman Julio García. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mammoths.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," New Braunfels manager Miqueas Torres said, following the tough loss.
