The Wichita Falls Yardmen got a strong performance from pitcher Íñigo León, who stymied the Abilene offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Yardmen Park. The Preachers, now 42-79, have lost 4 in a row.

The Yardmen benefited from an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Wichita Falls was leading 2-0 when Apolonio Gutiérrez hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Wichita Falls in front, 3-0.

Gutiérrez told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
