Los Lunas right fielder Valentín López was instrumental in helping the Werewolves triumph, 6-5, over the Albuquerque Dukes. López was 3-4 with 3 singles. The winning pitcher was 31-year old left-handed pitcher Joseph Rolland. He tossed 118 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 5 runs on 11 hits. The third-place Dukes now sit at 51-70.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Los Lunas trailing 5-4, Prisco Vargas hit a fastball from Semónides Cataño to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Werewolves had a walk-off win.
