Joaquín Espinosa of the Nacogdoches Roaches was on fire against the Marfa Ghost Lights at Ghost Lights Park today. He shut them out 7-0 on 5 hits, collecting 1 strikeout and allowing 2 walks.

"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Espinosa said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."

This year Espinosa has compiled a 7-4 record with a 2.51 ERA.
