The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Odessa fans at Odessa Fields.

Natanael Castro made an impact in the 5-3 Odessa win over San Angelo. Castro, who is tied for 10th in the FBL-EA in hits with 89, was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 runs. Jorge González earned his 9th save, after closing out the game.

Odessa took the lead, 4-3, on Eligio Ortiz's 14th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Ortiz hit in the bottom of the eighth, made San Angelo pitcher Judá García wince.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Castro.

The 'W' lifts Odessa's record to 59-21.
