Yardmen Win with Late Heroics
Wichita Falls Yardmen starter Símaco Montes turned in a sterling performance against the Amarillo Horizons, leading his team to a thin, 3-2 win in 10 innings. Their 31-41 record puts the Yardmen last in the Western Association Abilene Circuit.

The Yardmen got a clutch hit from first baseman Gaspar Campusano. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Yardmen.

"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Campusano told the Wichita Falls Daily News.
